Wisdom from Yin Fire Rooster month: a small fire in a metal month refines more than it burns - this is a good season to finish something carefully rather than start something new.
The Reiki Nook is located at Glasgow House, 394 George Street, Windsor NSW. We are in the heart of Windsor's heritage precinct — look for the sandstone archway.
Is there parking nearby?
Yes — street parking is available on George Street and surrounding streets.
Do I need any prior experience to visit?
No experience is needed for any of our offerings. Whether you are new to Reiki, Qigong, or have never heard of BaZi before — you are welcome exactly as you are.
Is The Reiki Nook suitable for children?
Yes — children are warmly welcome. We offer Reiki sessions for children, and kids are welcome to join our community Qigong class on weekends. Please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions about bringing your child.
Do you offer gift vouchers?
Yes — gift vouchers are available for all offerings. A Reiki session, a BaZi reading, or a membership makes a deeply meaningful gift. Purchase through the link in bio or at thereikinook.com.
Qigong Classes
What do I need to bring to class?
Nothing at all. Mats, bolsters, pillows, blankets, and eye masks are all provided. Just bring yourself and comfortable clothing you can move in.
What time should I arrive?
Please arrive 10–15 minutes before class begins. This gives you time to settle in, pour yourself a cup of tea, and arrive in your body before we begin.
Is Qigong physically demanding?
Qigong is slow, gentle, and accessible for all bodies. It is not a workout — it is a practice. You will not be pushed, and there is no wrong way to show up.
Can I join if classes have already started for the term?
Yes — our classes are open to newcomers at any time. No need to wait for a new term to begin.
Reiki
What happens during a Reiki session?
You will lie fully clothed on a treatment table in a quiet, held space. Reiki works with the body's energy field — some people experience warmth, tingling, colour, deep relaxation, or a sense of release. Some simply rest. Every session is different, and all of it is welcome.
What should I wear?
Comfortable, loose clothing is ideal. You will remain fully clothed throughout your session.
How long is a session?
An initial Reiki session is 75 minutes. All subsequent sessions are 60 minutes.
Do I need to believe in Reiki for it to work?
No. Reiki does not require belief — only a willingness to receive. Many clients come curious or sceptical and leave surprised.
How will I feel afterwards?
Most people feel lighter, calmer, and more settled after a session. Some experience emotional release in the days that follow as the body continues to integrate the work.
Are Reiki sessions available for children?
Yes — children's Reiki sessions are available and offered regularly. Please get in touch to discuss your child's needs before booking.
BaZi Readings
What is BaZi?
BaZi — also known as the Four Pillars of Destiny — is a Classical Chinese system that maps your elemental nature, archetypal patterns, strengths, growth areas, and timing cycles from your date and time of birth. It is not Western astrology, and it is not a personality test. It is a precise, specific map of how you are actually wired.
How is BaZi different from Western astrology?
Western astrology typically describes personality traits based on sun, moon, and rising signs. BaZi works differently — it looks at four pillars (year, month, day, and hour of birth), each carrying its own element and animal. Two people born on the same day can have completely different charts depending on the hour. That level of specificity is what makes it land the way it does.
What do I actually receive from a reading?
Your reading is recorded personally for you and delivered the same day. You receive four to five individual video recordings — each approximately 20–30 minutes — plus a full written transcript. Your reading is yours to keep and return to as many times as you need.
Do I need to be present for my reading?
No — recorded readings are available to anyone, anywhere in the world. You simply book your preferred appointment time and your videos and transcript are delivered to you by the end of that window.
What information do I need to provide?
Your date of birth, time of birth, and place of birth. If you do not know your exact birth time, please let me know when booking and we can discuss options.
Date Selection (Ze Ri)
What is Ze Ri date selection?
Ze Ri is the Classical Chinese art of selecting auspicious dates for specific actions — a business launch, a contract signing, a move, a wedding. It calculates the specific window when the energetic cycles support your intended action, maximising the potential for success.
How is a date selection delivered?
Your date selection is delivered as a written report. The work happens in the calculation and interpretation behind the scenes — no lengthy session is required from you.
Tea Circle & Seed Circle
What is the Tea Circle?
The Tea Circle is a monthly gathering where we come together to enjoy Gong Fu style tea and explore the energies of the upcoming month through the lens of Chinese astrology. It is a gentle, nourishing way to understand the season you are moving into.
What is the Druid Seed Circle?
The Druid Seed Circle is a monthly gathering for those drawn to the Druidic path. We come together to explore Druidry through conversation, meditation, visualisation, and the celebration of the seasonal festivals. All are welcome, regardless of experience.
Do you offer memberships?
What is The Steady Practice membership?
The Steady Practice is our ongoing membership for those ready to commit to a regular Qigong and healing practice. It gives you full access to everything The Reiki Nook offers on a weekly basis, so your practice becomes a consistent, nourishing part of your life rather than an occasional visit.
What is included?
For $49.90 per week, The Steady Practice includes: unlimited classes each week, 2 guest passes per month, a complimentary Sensory Rest session each month, a reserved spot in the monthly Tea Circle, free access to The Practice Library (our on-demand class collection), and 15% off all retail purchases.
How do I join?
Membership is available through the link in bio or at thereikinook.com. If you would like to chat before joining, feel free to reach out directly.
Is there a lock-in contract?
The Steady Practice is a 6-month commitment. We ask this because real change happens through consistent practice — and six months gives your body and mind the time they need to genuinely settle into the work.
Can I pause my membership?
We do not offer pauses — but you will never miss out. All members have full access to The Practice Library, our on-demand class collection, so your practice continues wherever you are, whenever you need it.
